Refunds – International Fuel Tax Agreement

Licensed carriers under the International Fuel Tax Agreement must file quarterly fuel tax returns (FIN 360).

If the taxes you paid on your fuel purchases are greater than the taxes due under the Agreement, you may either:

  • claim a refund on your tax return
  • carry the credit forward to subsequent returns

Refunds will be made only for amounts greater than $20.

To claim a refund, you need to simply check the box requesting a refund on your return.
