Billing Changes or Inquiries
This section will assist you in finding information on MSP account transfers, adding or removing family members on your MSP account, and more. Your billing information may change from time to time. To ensure your MSP account remains up to date, please note the following:
Transfer to a Direct Pay Account (spouse or parent) |
If your coverage is being transferred to a family member's account, billing notices under your account will continue until your application to transfer coverage is processed.
Once the application is processed, adjustments to your account will be made automatically. If premiums are owed to the date the new coverage begins, a bill will be issued. Credit balances or overpayments will be refunded.
If you have received a collection letter regarding your MSP account balance, please contact Revenue Services of British Columbia.
Transfer to an Employer/Pension Account |
If your coverage is being transferred from a Direct Pay account to an employer, union or pension account, billing notices will continue to be issued until your application for group coverage has been processed.
Once your application is processed adjustments to your account will be made automatically. If premiums are owed to the date your new group coverage begins, a bill will be issued. Credit balances or overpayments will be refunded.
If you have received a collection letter regarding your MSP account balance, please contact Revenue Services of British Columbia.
Transfer From an Employer/Pension Account |
If your employer/pension account is cancelled, a direct pay account will be automatically set up for you (and your family, if applicable) and a billing notice will be sent.
Add/Remove Family Members |
If you would like to add or remove family members on your group MSP plan, please contact the Ministry of Health-MSP (opens in new window). Once MSP has processed your request, the amount of premiums due for the affected period will be adjusted.
