The Taxpayer Fairness and Service Code has been updated, reaffirming the government's commitment to fairness and service values and taxpayers' rights to courtesy, respect, confidentiality, fair treatment, help, information, dispute resolution and timely appeals.

The brochure, Home Owner Grant Program, has been revised to clarify the qualifications for the home owner grant.
March 20, 2012
Form FIN 58, Physician Certification, has been updated to make the instructions easier to follow and to request the property tax roll number or PID to help expedite the application process.

Form FIN 47, Request for Rural Property Tax Information, has been updated.

The provincial government announced its 2012 Budget on February 21, 2012. Programs administered by the Property Taxation Branch are amended as a result. The changes are described in detail in the following publications and web pages.

Bulletin PTT 008, Exemptions for Transferring a Family Farm, and Bulletin PTT 009, Exemptions for Transfers to and from a Family Farm Corporation, have been updated to clarify that, for certain transfers, farm land must have been used, owned and farmed by the deceased or the settlor.
